On 12th September 2010, RWDOA started a new project with the name of “Integrated Saffron Production, Extension and Marketing”. The project is funded by UNODC organization and will be implemented in Ghoriyan, Zenda Jan, kohsan, Enjil, Gozara, Karokh, Shindand, and Pashtoon Zarghoon districts of Herat province and its purpose is to enhance the knowledge of farmers about efficient methods of Saffron cultivation and marketing. The beneficiaries of this project are 500 farmers from aforementioned districts.
