Herat Child Laborers Research Project

The Herat Child Laborers Research project aims to gather information on child labor in Herat over a one-year period. The project involves several key steps:

Designing research scope and methodologies: The project begins by determining the scope of the research and the methodologies to be used. This includes deciding on the specific objectives of the study and the data collection methods that will be employed.

Training interviewers: To ensure the research is conducted effectively and ethically, interviewers are trained. They are provided with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out interviews with child laborers and their families in a sensitive and professional manner.

Conducting direct interviews: The research team conducts direct interviews with 50 child laborers and their families in Herat. These interviews aim to gather first-hand information about the children’s work conditions, the reasons for their involvement in labor, and the impact on their lives.

Analyzing the data: Once the interviews are completed, the collected data is carefully analyzed. This process involves organizing and categorizing the information, identifying patterns and themes, and drawing meaningful insights from the data.

Writing and publication of the research report: The findings and conclusions of the research are compiled into a comprehensive report. The report includes a detailed analysis of the data, highlights key findings, and provides recommendations for addressing child labor in Herat. It is then published and made available to relevant stakeholders, such as government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and the general public.
