Internship Program for Herat University female students

The Internship Program for Herat University female students aims to provide valuable opportunities and support for 80 women in Herat province, Afghanistan, over the course of one year. The project entails the following components:

Women internship scheme: The project intends to implement a women internship scheme, offering internships to a total of 80 female students from Herat University. These internships will provide practical work experience and exposure in their respective fields of study. The scheme aims to enhance the employability of the participants and prepare them for successful careers.

Pre-placement training program: Before the internships begin, a three-month “pre-placement” training program will be conducted. This program is designed to enrich and develop the skills that the female students will need to excel during their internships. The training will focus on enhancing their professional abilities, communication skills, and industry-specific knowledge to ensure they are well-prepared for their upcoming internships.

Employment system and support: The project seeks to establish an effective system to monitor the progress and support the 80 female interns. This system will provide guidance and assistance throughout the three-month internship period, ensuring that the interns receive appropriate supervision, mentorship, and resources. The goal is to help them gain practical experience and increase their chances of finding employment immediately after their graduation.

The overall objective of the project is to bridge the gap between academia and the job market for female students in Herat province. By providing internship opportunities, along with a comprehensive pre-placement training program and ongoing support, the project aims to empower these women and facilitate their transition into successful careers.
