Training for trainers on agriculture sector in Afghanistan
The objective of this project is to enhance the knowledge and skills of trainers in the agriculture sector in Afghanistan. The project aims to train a total of 400 farmers’ trainers in the provinces of Herat, Farah, Ghor, and Badghis. Additionally, the project aims to provide specialized training to 100 trainers on nurseries development in Herat, Farah, and Ghor provinces. Furthermore, the project seeks to establish 10 nurseries with 250,000 fruits and non-fruit saplings in Herat, Farah, and Ghor provinces.
Training of 400 Farmers’ Trainers: The project will provide comprehensive training to 400 farmers’ trainers in the targeted provinces of Herat, Farah, Ghor, and Badghis. These trainers will receive education and guidance on modern agricultural practices, techniques, and technologies. The training will cover various aspects of agriculture, including crop cultivation, soil management, pest control, irrigation methods, and post-harvest handling. The trainers will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to disseminate agricultural best practices to farmers in their respective communities.
Training of 100 Trainers on Nurseries Development: In addition to general agriculture training, the project will focus on specialized training for 100 trainers in nurseries development. These trainers will receive in-depth knowledge and practical skills related to establishing and managing nurseries. The training will cover topics such as seedling propagation, nursery management, plant nutrition, disease control, and transplanting techniques. The trained trainers will serve as valuable resources in promoting the establishment and maintenance of nurseries in their communities.
Establishment of 10 Nurseries: The project will establish ten nurseries in the provinces of Herat, Farah, and Ghor. These nurseries will play a crucial role in producing and providing a diverse range of fruits and non-fruit saplings. The nurseries will contribute to the availability of quality planting materials for farmers, enabling them to improve their crop yields and diversify their agricultural activities. The establishment of these nurseries will also create employment opportunities and support local economic development.
